Churches United of the Quad City Area respectfully requests the donation of items for or a complete basket of silent auction items in support of our first signature event uniquely crafted by our development committee to raise community awareness and funds for our hunger ministry.
“Church Casserole Cook-off” on Saturday, November 2, 2019, will be held from 4-7 p.m. at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church in Moline.
Quad City cooks are invited to prepare and enter their favorite casserole(s) in main dish, side dish, and dessert categories to be judged by local celebrity guests and attendees of the ticketed event. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for youth age 5-12 and free for children age 5 and under. A buffet meal, silent auction, door prizes, and entertainment by a local comedy troupe round out the festivities.
Proceeds from this event will directly benefit Churches United’s 25 food pantries and 3 free hot meal sites. In 2018, volunteers at our food pantries distributed 5-7 days of non-perishable food and seasonal fresh food to nearly 140,000 of our neighbors in need. Our meal site volunteers served dinner to nearly 21,000 guests.
All gifts in support of this event are tax-deductible. Thank you for partnering with us and contributing to the success of “Church Casserole Cook-off.” https://www.ourquadcities.com/news/local-news/churches-united-brings-back-carelink-for-all-of-the-quad-cities/
